La Verità Dance Company / Alex Kyriakoulis Natasa Frantzi

In 2011 Alex Kyriakoulis (Alex Kros) and Natasa Frantzi, driven by their need to
share their own messages through contemporary dance, they decided to found "La
Verità Dance Company" in Belgium. Their creations are multidisciplinary, using
movement as main means of expression and communication, mixing with other
artistic forms such as architecture, video mapping and light installations, in order to
achieve a cinematic result on stage.
Each creation is identified and characterized by a particular body language where
the dramaturgy is the main source that generates different qualities of the
interpretation. Both choreographers focus on the physicality of every movement
beyond the aesthetic level, willing to achieve a deeper and a more essential
approach.
Their performances addressed a wide range of audience, willing to touch, connect
and increase awareness provoking reflections around socio-existential issues.

Born in Greece, multidisciplinary artist, choreographer and dance teacher, Alex
Kros is trained in dance, visual arts, theater and cinema.
Holding a bachelor's degree in Economics, he studied dance at the Greek
National School of Dance (K.S.O.T), Rallou Manou Professional Dance School
(GR), and he has a diploma in theater and
Direction. He began his artistic career in 1999 as an actor and later as Stand
up Comedian by creating his own "one man shows" for several theaters in
Greece. After his studies in dance, he performed for various companies in
Greece and Belgium where he discovered his passion for choreography. He de-
cided to stop his dancing career early because he wanted to deepen in the re-
search of alternative methods of choreography that were driven from his
diverse background. Since then his creations and artistic vision have focused on
the creation of multidisciplinary performances integrating dance, visual arts
and cinematographic techniques. To this he comes to add the development of
his own method of choreography and movement vocabulary focusing in
Contemporary Ballet.
In 2011, he founded La Verità dance company in Belgium where he tours his
own creations in theaters and festivals around the world. In 2015 with the cre-
ation "Behind the body" he won first prize of choreography in the competition
“Les lendemains qui dansent” (FR).
As a guest choreographer he has created choreographies for Bremerhaven
Stadttheater (DE), Oldenburg Staatstheater (DE), Greek National Ballet (GR),
Koninklijk Ballet School Vlaanderen (BE), Ballet Du Nord / CCN Roubaix (FR),
Conservatorium Mechelen (BE). Alongside his choreographic work, he teaches
contemporary dance and repertoire to conservatories, professional schools and
companies like Balletto di Roma (IT), HJS (NL), Cie Toula Limnaios (DE), CND
Lyon (FR), ACTS professional dance school and others.
Dancer, choreographer and dance teacher, Natasa Frantzi graduated from the
Greek National State School of Dance. Her career as dancer began with the
Wrong Movement Dance Company by Konstantin Mihos where she worked for 6
years on creations specialized in improvisation and more specifically in Contact
Improvisation, Instant Composition and Inclusive Dance. Natasa continued her
journey as member of the Hellenic Dance Company, where she performed reper-
toires of Ultima-Vez, Richard Alston, Martin Lawrence and as well as with sev-
eral Greek companies such as Dancers Dance Company and Amalgama Dance
Company.
In 2007 she joined the dance company "Unterwegtheater" in Germany under the
artistic direction of the choreographer Jai Gonzales. For the next three years,
Natasa danced 5 productions with her before she moved to Belgium in 2011 and
founded her own company "La Verita Dance Company". Meanwhile she still con-
tinued dancing as a freelancer with many companies in Belgium, UK and
Germany, Bud Blumenthal (USA/BE), Craig Burgogne (UK), Theater Mobil (DE)
among others.
In 2015 with the duo “Behind the body” she won the First Prize for choreography
in the competition “Les lendemains qui dansent” (FR).
As a guest choreographer, she has collaborated with companies, theaters, con-
servatories and professional dance schools such as: Conservatorium Mechelen
(BE), Ballet Du Nord / CCN Roubaix (FR), CulturBazaar (DE), Oldenburg
Staatstheater (DE), ACTS Ecole de danse contemporain de Paris (FR),
Grenzlandtheater (DE), Conservatorium Saint-Omer (FR).
Alongside with her mutual dependence between dancer and choreographer, she
is also a teacher of contemporary dance and improvisation for more than 17
years, sharing her knowledge and different influences from her personal experi-
ence, giving courses and workshops at various professional schools, conservato-
ries and festivals
like: Marameo (DE), P.A.R.T.S. (BE), Luxembourg Choreographic Creation Center
Trois C-L (LU), Tanzwoche (DE), Proart Festival (CZ), Dance Loft (DE), Ballet
du Nord/CCN Roubaix (FR), ACTS Contemporary dance school of Paris (FR),
Professional school of Rallou Manou (GR), Choros professional school in Athens
(GR) and others.
In 2019 she launched her collaboration with Platform-K, a company of disabled
dancers in Belgium, and created “Mix and Match”, an inclusive dance workshop
of improvisation and instant composition open to everyone that wants to experi-
ence a non verbal communication through dance. Nowadays with La Verita she
continues to create, dance and teach all over the world.
