OMNE + TRIUM = QUATRUM (2019)
Inspired by the latin principle ‘Omne Trium Perfectum’ (everything that comes in
3 is perfect), the piece questions about the definition of perfection.Determining
"the Vitruvian Man" of Leonardo Da Vinci as objective perfection, concerning
the Canon of Proportions of the human body, we present what happens if we
look inside the details of this image, reversing the level and the dimension of it.
The absolute harmony of the body will be transformed into a primitive
imaginary nature, drawn from our animal instincts, where man understands his
real freedom. How short is the distance between these two worlds? Balancing
between the architecture of perfect proportions and the creation of virtual
illusions, a struggle arises between the two different assumptions of the
definition of perfection. Which one will prevail? It remains to be seen.
